Attorney Katherine Bagdis, an associate at Mountain, Dearborn & Whiting LLP, has joined the Worcester Public Library Board of Directors. Her nomination to a three-year term was accepted by the Worcester City Council on June 21, 2016.
The Board of Directors is the Library’s governing body, overseeing hiring of the head librarian, setting library policies that ensure equal access to information and the free exchange of ideas, and overseeing management and maintenance, among other responsibilities.
Before joining the Board of Directors, Katie began serving on the Board of the Worcester Public Library Foundation Board, which is responsible for fundraising and for enhancing the public visibility of the Library.
