Mountain, Dearborn & Whiting LLP will, once again, be a lead corporate sponsor for the Emerald Club’s 61st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Gala on Saturday, March 10, 2018. The celebration begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Cyprian Keyes Golf Club, 284 E. Temple Street, in Boylston, Mass.
Mountain Dearborn has very strong ties to the Emerald Club, which is dedicated to raising funds for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues. The Club was founded in the 1950’s by several prominent Irish-Americans, including former Worcester Mayor James D. O’Brien, Sr. His son, James D. O’Brien, Jr., one of the firm’s partners, served as President of the Club in the 1980’s. The firm’s commitment to the Emerald Club continued with another partner, Paul C. Foley, acting as President from 2015-2017.
The Emerald Club’s primary, long-time beneficiary is the Mercy Centre on Chester Street in Worcester, a school and life program for adults with developmental disabilities. In addition, the Club has given generously to the Worcester Public Schools, Veterans, Inc., and other worthy causes.
