Back packs, folders, notebooks, calculators, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, markers, crayons, lunch bags, scissors, paint, and glue—a large cache of school supplies for Worcester kids now overflows the donation box at Mountain Dearborn.
“Stuff the Bus” is an annual collection drive sponsored by Planting the Seed Foundation, which provides school supplies to city students who cannot afford their own. The all-volunteer non-profit organization has been helping families and children in need in Worcester and Central Massachusetts since 1972.
“That first day of school is a big day for kids and walking through the door with the tools you need is a good feeling for any student,” says Paul C. Foley, Managing Partner. “Mountain Dearborn is happy to play a role in making that happen for local students and is proud to work with this great program.”
All of us at Mountain Dearborn wish Worcester’s students, teachers, staff, and administrators a well-supplied, healthy, and successful school year.
