Ann K. Molloy

Partner

Ann Molloy advises individuals, families, and fiduciaries in matters pertaining to estate planning, asset preservation, and inter-generational wealth transfer—including business succession planning; income, gift, and estate tax planning; and charitable giving. Ann also counsels clients who are serving as personal representatives, executors, and trustees in the administration of probate estates, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and private foundations and other charitable entities. She is a trusted resource for families confronting the challenges of financing care for a disabled or elderly loved one. Clients appreciate Ann’s thoughtful approach to crafting estate plans that protect their assets while achieving their goals for the future.

Ann assists individuals in all aspects of estate planning. She drafts wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney and health care proxies, and creates more complex estate plans that implement sophisticated gifting techniques such as charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, grantor-retained annuity trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, and private foundations. Her expertise includes advising clients seeking to qualify for MassHealth and planning for individuals with special needs. Ann’s clients also turn to her for help with estate and trust administration, including the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns.

After graduating from law school, Ann served as a law clerk to the Honorable C. Donald Peterson of the Minnesota Supreme Court and worked for a private law firm in Minneapolis. She joined Mountain Dearborn in 1989.
