James D. O’Brien, Jr.

Jimmy O’Brien is the firm’s senior litigation partner. Over the course of his expansive career, Jimmy has represented clients in every court in the Commonwealth. Jimmy served as lead or senior counsel in several multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements, including one of the largest verdicts in Worcester County.

Jimmy’s practice concentrates primarily in diverse civil matters such as contract and tort claims between individuals and corporations, complex commercial litigation, personal injury claims, stockholder disputes, medical malpractice, government relations, municipal disputes and employment litigation. His clients benefit from his deep experience, personable style and intellectual approach to resolving disputes effectively and thoroughly.

Jimmy relishes the drama and challenge of the courtroom. He describes litigation as “the art and science of coordinating legal issues with evidence in an effort to convince the court of a client’s position. It’s a professional experience that requires you to be producer, director and actor, all at the same time.”
